Sompex stands for design-oriented lighting with a penchant for the unusual. Founded in 1948 by Rolf Burghard in Soest, the company initially specialized in the sale of floor coverings and printing aids. Only a few years later, Sompex put the focus on Scandinavian design. Today, the product portfolio includes mainly lamps and clocks.
The German family business based in D�sseldorf focuses on original, creative designs and develops contemporary products for individualists. The flagship of Sompex is the patented LED candle, which, however, represents only a small part of the multi-layered assortment.
