Mykonos is an island in the Greek Cyclades located in the Aegean Sea, and four hours by boat from Athens. Legend has it that the giants, exterminated by Heracles, are buried under the rocks of Mykonos. Although governed by Athens during Antiquity, the island falls into the hands of Persian, Byzantine or Ottoman empires throughout the ages. In the 1950’s it becomes, and will remain, a destination for tourists and jet-setters, attracted by the authenticity and picturesque charm of white houses that cling to the hillside. The beaches are numerous, as the houses’ blue shutters harmoniously match the deep blue sea. Mykonos is a marvel, Greek village par excellence, and a mythical place that we wanted to immor talize with a delicate silkscreen print...

 

The Mykonos scented candle is made in glass covered with a silk-screened print that depicts the wonderful village whose name it bears. The stylized drawing was handmade by our craftsmen and covers the candle with a play of transparency that highlights this destination’s architecture.
